For those of us who have trouble with excess fat, finding a diet that’s free of fat yet still rich in important nourishment and enjoyable to eat can be difficult. Cutting out all of our favorite foods is a recipe for disaster since we will soon long for something we actually like to eat.
There are many diets available that provide rapid loss of weight. But are these really fulfilling their promises? In the long run the answer’s no. Following diets that contain bland food items and absolutely nothing we actually normally eat will soon see people ‘falling off the wagon’ as they binge eat to make themselves feel good. Consequently, by far the most effective way to lose excess weight is by simply just changing the foodstuffs we normally consume and discover ways to eat them in a healthier manner.
Greasy food are a definite no no, yet many of the fried foods that we consume can be baked or roasted instead. For those who have a ‘sweet tooth’ then choose the low sugar variety and cut down on the amount of sugars we have in our tea or coffee. Alcoholic drinks is also fattening, so swap a glass of vino with a nice chilled glass of water. When you are out shopping choose low-fat or 1% fat varieties and replace full fat milk with semi skimmed.
Coupling a heathy diet with lots of regular exercise is important for both our health and well being. A fast walk or even a slow stroll in the fresh air will make us feel better and keep fitter. You may want to take up a sport like dancing or aerobics to help you shed weight quicker or just tone up in general. Remember exercise may also be a good way in which to meet new people and socialise so do not consider it as a chore!
